"Frog Farts and Ninja Warriors" {Family Session}

Curious about the title?  Well, let me explain.  I met this lovely family at Meadowbrook park on Sunday morning.  I told Charlie that when I count to three to tell me something silly.  I counted and I heard "Frog farts!" followed by some amazing giggles.  When I finished laughing myself, I said, "What did you say?" and repeat.  We both laughed.  What a riot!

Later, when we got to one of my favorite picture locations, near the fenced in meadow, both boys decide to climb the fence.  I saw some karate kids moves on that fence!  

I had a lot of fun with this dare-devil family.  They braved the woods, prairie grass and climbing fences to get a fun and unique session!

Anna Rings in Her First Birthday with a Smash! {First Birthday Outdoor Cake Smash Session}

I have really grown to love this family of three!  I was first introduced when Kristen asked me to do their wedding!  I got to do Anna's six month session too!  (Those are still some of my favorite pictures!)  And, now here we are already doing her first year pictures.  I can't believe it!  Anna is such a fun-loving, happy, sweet baby girl!  She is going to have one super-fun birthday party too!  Mom has some neat things up her sleeve for that one!

I is 6 months old and still just a sweet little angel! {6 Month Old Session}

I met I. earlier this year in my March 17-18 Duck & Bunny photo session!  I was honored to have him back behind my camera again just one day after he turned six months old.  Talk about mesmerizing blue eyes!  He has 'em!  He was just so easy-going.  He isn't quite sitting up yet so we gave him a little help, but he was just "cheesing it up" for the camera!  He truly is his parent's little angel.  You can even see his wings! ;-)

Q brings in age 2 with a splash! {2 Year Old session}

It was such a pleasure getting to meet this little angel-faced baby doll.  She had Shirley Temple curls and a super sweet smile that really lit up the room!  

Q was a bit cautious around me but she just loved my toy basket!  At the end, we wanted to try to walk outside to get in just a couple last shots and I just love how they turned out.  As we were walking towards some really pretty flowers, we got "side-tracked" by a rather large puddle.  Q took this opportunity to splash and play in the puddle.  But, I thought that when she fell in on her bottom, there would be tears.  What happened next was totally unexpected she gave me the best smiles of the day!  Oh rejoice! So much fun!  And, I simply love those photos!  I hope you do too.  Take a look!!

New Lens

I got a new lens today and I just absolutely love it's amazing ability to take pictures in very low light and the way it can do some awesome boken (blurred background) to these photos.  I took the pictures of my nephews and niece (first three pictures) late this afternoon and all the outdoor pictures were taken at approximately 8 pm (after sunset).  I was so amazed at what this new lens can do!  Now, if I could just get my dream camera next...
