Some favorites from 2013

My First Ever Senior Session {Ashton Senior Session}
I was thrilled to do this good-looking high school senior's portraits. As you can see he is quite the basketball guy. I really had a good time working with him and his fabulous mom & girlfriend. It was rather strange for me not to have to bribe a client with candy at the end for good behavior. It felt quite nice to ask him to pose and he did it right away. I think I could get used to this! I have many ideas for any other seniors out there looking to get a personalized photo session!

"Frog Farts and Ninja Warriors" {Family Session}
Curious about the title? Well, let me explain. I met this lovely family at Meadowbrook park on Sunday morning. I told Charlie that when I count to three to tell me something silly. I counted and I heard "Frog farts!" followed by some amazing giggles. When I finished laughing myself, I said, "What did you say?" and repeat. We both laughed. What a riot!
Later, when we got to one of my favorite picture locations, near the fenced in meadow, both boys decide to climb the fence. I saw some karate kids moves on that fence!
I had a lot of fun with this dare-devil family. They braved the woods, prairie grass and climbing fences to get a fun and unique session!
Take a peek at our time together!

An Unusual Curtis Orchard session
When I think Curtis Orchard, I think fall temperatures. Not 80, with an expected high of 90. But that aside, I had a blast with the Clodfelder children. I did their family pictures one year ago and it was 40 degrees. We were cold! This year, we were hot! But, I still had a lot of fun on this location. Everything from discovering Maggi's love of apples, Brady's willingness to climb up a tree, and Maci's love of everything photography! Sean &Mindia you just might have a future photographer in your family! I was really impressed (as always) with Mindia's eye for color and fashion! The kids looked amazing! Mindia also impressed me with her story of the significance of the quilted blanket she brought too! It was made from her grandfather's t-shirts. I think that deserves mentioning and was clearly very important to the whole family. So, with further ado... here are the pictures from yesterday's really fun-filled session at the apple orchard...
I simply love this one! |
